Traditions and Folklore
Despite its name, the Eastern Red Cedarwood (or Virginian Cedarwood), is not a common Cedarwood, but an evergreen tree belonging to the Juniper family. It is a native to Eastern North America where it is considered a pioneer species, meaning it is amongst the first plants to begin growing in a damaged area, making it a symbol of strength and tenacity.
